i think back to coat racks and classrooms

where clocks ticked like talking points

i did not want to discuss.

groups rendered me frozen and

my cold exterior has not thawed.

some things happen and you heal

— others transpire and

you conspire to

seek revenge in your head

where you live and you

spend all of your time

sheepishly in bed.
