have you ever hurt more than

ever before and wished you

could escape your

human form?

sometimes

i cannot fathom

the gravity of the

tragedies that speckled

the history of my trajectory.

i don’t find myself asking

why why why but i do

sit with my tearducts

begging please

stop stop

stop

but life never lets up

and i’m always hurting

so if you wonder where i’ve been

know that it’s safe to assume

that my heart is holding

me hostage

and i’m trying to remember

how to breathe

without choking

instead.
