How to Motivate Yourself and Chase Your Dreams
They say that motivation comes in waves… But what if I told you there’s a way to stay consistently motivated?
Back when I originally started lifting weights and taking my almost-daily workouts very seriously, I created an Instagram account dedicated solely to the fitness side of my life. I followed girls who reflected the person I was striving to become because the company you keep influences your character.
But something I noticed across the board — from nearly everyone representing the fitness industry on IG— is this notion that it’s impossible to stay motivated every single day. At the time, I nodded my head in absolute agreement with this claim because… Well, I totally agreed!
See, it made sense. Motivation is this inspirational sensation that encourages you to stick with something, no matter the obstacles that appear or the many distractions that tempt you. And while motivation is key to achieving the goals you set for yourself, the fitness world of Instagram had me convinced that motivation has nothing to do with success.
Instead, the focus was always shifted towards self-discipline rather than motivation. According to the status quo, nobody is motivated all the time.
