i look up at the telephone poles.

a piece i came up with while walking through a city.

walking through the city, i look up at the telephone poles and i think about how i’m wired. pigeons scuffle along the copper lines and i find parallels in the way people walk all over me, too. i try sending a message the way cable transmits images, but no one seems to get the picture. i wish i could exist and have that be a good enough reason to stay, but instead, people only want me around so that that they can take what they want from me before flying away indefinitely.
