i used to lose consciousness more often than i’d like to remember, particularly during a dizzy spell in late september. i glided on concrete in my rollerblades and within seconds i embarked on yet another fainting escapade. poetry is not for the faint of heart - — but fainting is, and this is my art. how can it be that i love poetry yet my brain likes to fall fast asleep on me? it all comes back to duality — you can be more than one thing. it’s personality.
