stuck

i wish upon a shooting star

and i wake up with my ankles

encased in quicksand.

i look at the cumuli

in the sky and i ask, “why

am i often misunderstood?”

sometimes, i believe even

mother nature cannot

comprehend me and i

come from her.

i dream of being grounded

but all i ever feel is stuck.
