The #1 Tip for Anyone Who Works from Home
It took me awhile to incorporate this tip into my routine, but oh boy am I glad that I eventually did!
When I first started working from home, I wasn’t the greatest at the whole working-from-home part.
The staying home part was easy peasy.
The working part, however, was quite the adjustment.
I couldn’t simmer my excitement levels down low enough to actually focus on the tasks at hand. Instead, all I could zero in on was my enthusiasm for finally making it to the point where I could go all in on my freelance career.
As with all adjustment periods, mine eventually came to a halt and I mastered the art of setting work-only hours while in the comfort of my home. I think I might have taken it too far because nowadays, I have no separation between my work hours and my downtime, but that’s a challenge for me to tackle another time.
For now, I’d like to let you in on something that has made my productivity levels as a work-from-home writer greater than ever. This tip of mine is akin to placing your phone in another room as a means of removing all distractions, yet I would go so far as to say it is even more effective than that.
