what causes them to defer our dreams? do they die when tucked away or is it simply hibernation by way of slumber? if i were to let my reveries stay that and nothing more, i could not possibly prefer wakefulness or be in favor of the times my eyes are open as opposed to closed. i think about that quite often — the way by which many take the route of ease even though it makes them relinquish what they desire most in the process. how can one abandon him- or her- or their- self so readily? does it hurt? i can’t say the pursuit of all that you want from your lifetime is painless but i find it to be the type of agony that not destroys but rather yields growth. if i had the miracle of magic dust within my fingertips, i would sprinkle it atop the heads of those who wish they could but think they cannot. the truth of the matter is that you can. the error lies in convincing yourself otherwise.
