what is the opposite of bad?

is it good, or is it simply

not bad?

i am waiting for the day

i can confidently say that

on the inside, i am

not bad.

ever since i found the words

for how i feel, nothing about

my feelings resonates as

good.

at my best,

i am okay

but i hold out hope

for the explosions of good

that i know i’ll someday experience.

i cannot wait to say that i am

euphoric. elated.

jubilant. buoyant.

merry. and not only

not bad but

good,

too.
